Indrayani is a variety of rice especially grown in Maval region of Pune District. This rice has a typical pleasing aroma that doesn't exist in any of other variety of rice. Organic unpolished Indrayani rice can be a bit tough to digest. But since this variety is unpolished, only the outer chaff and covering is removed and that leaves the actual grain with many of its natural ingredients intact. Indrayani rice is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals like niacin, vitamin D, calcium, fiber, iron, thiamine, and riboflavin.
